An impressive, tactile, and beautifully chunky Roman bronze sestertius of Empress Marcia Otacilla Severa, struck at the Rome mint between 244–249 AD. This specimen boasts a fantastic "orichalcum dump" feel, weighing a substantial 20.5 grams and measuring a thick 4mm at the rim.

Patina & Condition: Coated in an attractive, honest olive-brown patina with subtle brassy undertones and minor green highlights in the recesses. Features a deep, characterful, completely stable ancient flan crack that adds great historical flavor to this heavy mid-3rd-century issue.
