Obverse: Head of Tyche (City Fortune) facing right. She wears a distinct turreted crown, symbolizing the fortified walls and defensive strength of Smyrna.

Reverse: Aphrodite Stratonikis standing right. She rests her left elbow on a short column and holds a small Nike(Victory) in her outstretched hand. A scepter is often visible in the background.

Inscriptions: Traces of ΣΜΥΡΝΑΙΩΝ (Smyrnaion – "Of the Smyrneans") and remains of a Magistrate’s name(likely Moschos or Apollonios).
