Description

An authentic ancient Roman bronze As struck under the Emperor Claudius (41–54 AD) at the Rome mint. This classic early imperial issue features a beautifully clear, bold reverse legend and a strong, recognizable portrait of Claudius.

  • Obverse: TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG P M TR P IMP — Bare head of Claudius facing left.

  • Reverse: CONSTANTIAE AVGVSTI / S — C — Constantia, helmeted and draped, standing left, holding a long spear in her left hand and raising her right hand toward her face.
