Design Details:

  • Obverse: Laureate head of Fides (personification of Faith/Trust) facing right. Inscription "FIDES" clearly visible to the right field; "NERVA" behind (mostly off-flan/worn).

  • Reverse: Dynamic military scene featuring a Roman horseman (eques) galloping right, dragging a naked barbarian captive by his hair. The captive holds a narrow shield and sword. Inscription "A•LICIN•IV" in exergue (partially visible).

Condition & Appeal: An honest, historically significant example of a scarce and highly sought-after Imperatorial-era type struck during the period of Caesar's Civil War.
