An attractive example of a silver halfpenny struck during the reign of King Richard II at the London Mint.
This piece exhibits the characteristic **Late Style (Type III)** die features, most notably the distinctive **"fishtail" style lettering** where letter terminals flare outward (clearly visible in the obverse and reverse legends).
Obverse:** Crowned facing bust of Richard II within a beaded circle. Legend: `+ RICARD : REX : ANGL`
Reverse:** Long cross pattée extending to the edge with three pellets in each quarter. Legend: `CIVI TAS LON DON` (City of London).
