Design:

• Obverse: Third draped, left-facing bust of Queen Anne. Her hair is bound with a fillet and tied in a bun at the back.

• Reverse: Four crowned cruciform shields around a central Star of the Garter. Post-Union arrangement: The top and bottom shields feature the newly impaled arms of England and Scotland (lions and lion rampant side-by-side). The French fleurs-de-lis sit to the right, and the Irish harp is to the left.

Condition Report:

• Details: A standout survivor. The obverse portrait retains fantastic high-point detail in the hair lines, fillet, and the drapery on the shoulder. The reverse shields are remarkably crisp, showing excellent definition on the intricate impaled English and Scottish lions.

• Eye Appeal: Original and untouched. No harsh scratches, graffiti, or signs of cleaning. The surfaces boast a highly attractive golden-grey iridescent cabinet tone that beautifully frames the fields and lettering.
