Henry VIII Silver Halfgroat - Posthumous Issue (Edward VI) York Mint -Spink 2416

Tudor debased silver halfgroat struck at the York Mint during the transitional posthumous period (1547–1551) under Edward VI.

During this brief era of heavy debasement, coins were minted using the deceased Henry VIII's name and portrait to help maintain public confidence in the currency.
