Henry III Long Cross Cut Farthing - Class 5c, Ligated ND, London Mint
-
Obverse : Features a sharp section of the royal portrait. The obverse legend clearly starts at the 10 o'clock position, immediately establishing it as a Class 5 issue. The beautifully preserved eye shows the distinct almond/oval shape that diagnoses this specifically as Class 5c. The sceptre handle is also visible on the left.
-
Reverse : Displays a full quadrant of the long cross with its three crisp pellets. The outer legend perfectly captures the highly collectible ligated ND (𝕹𝕯), where the letters N and D fuse together to share a single central vertical stem. The text reads
...O𝕹𝕯for the London mint (ON LUND). -
Eye Appeal: The coin boasts a stunning, iridescent multi-colored patina/toning across the fields on both sides.
