Edward VI Penny in the name of Henry VIII (1547-1551) - London Mint - S.2418

Edward VI Posthumous Issue silver penny struck in the name of his father, Henry VIII, at the London Tower Mint (circa 1547–1551).

• Obverse: Crowned three-quarter / near-facing bust of the King within an inner beaded border. The legend reads h D G ROSA SINE SPIN ("Henry, by the Grace of God, a rose without a thorn").

• Reverse: Quartered royal shield of arms set over a long cross fourchée, with CIVI TAS LON DON in the quarters.
